I'm outta here

::I came home from work one day to find that Angel Pretty Paws Peanut had left the gated kitchen area & jumped over the gate to sleep on the couch & set off the security alarm. I found a note on the door from the police department telling me so. Cop found her there. Peanut was back in the kitchen on her bed when I got home. I got a $150 fine for no alarm permit. ::

"You guys promise?"

"Yes, yes, promise! Get us out of here!"

"Alrighty..."

::feline grunts of effort::

"There you go, kids."

"Thanks, cat!"

"Thanks, cat!"

"I better never see you around here again, right? That's The Deal."

did except she climbed the chain link fence of a dog pen with a hinged door. She used her nose to get to the heavy metal latch up then the weight of her body swung the gate open. Her little sister would watch then she would be the first one to walk out. At first we thought it was the bad next door neighbor kid then one day my dad saw the dogs do it and we were amazed. They must have really hated that pen. We never put them in it again.

My husband made a forged iron gate when our Ruckus was a baby. I'm hanging out on the patio and the dog is goofing around by the azaleas and watching people go by at the gate.

My husband comes home from the bagel shop and says, "JAG! Where's your baby at?"

little shit was small enough to wiggle through the slats.

That's why he was always looking at it. He was trying to figure it out.

Like if I put my shoulder here, and shimmy there.. .

They are so clever!

She'll lie next to me on the sofa, but God forbid I try to pat her. But at the vet all she wants to do is snuggle in the crook of my arm with her face hidden. She goes absolutely limp as soon as the vet or assistant handles her. Go figure.

Mommy and me time is when she will "allow" me to catch her and place her on my lap. She then "allows' me to scratch her head and run my hand down her back. Lasts about 3-5 minutes.
