I caught Ruby on video catching a mouse. Yes, I know she's a cat who caught a mouse, but it's how she got it and where the mouse ended up that's the story--right in her water bowl! Here she is trying to fish the mouse out of the bowl while trying not to get her dainty little paws wet.

1. So what was the end result for the mouse?

Did Ruby finally kill it, did it drown, or did you pick up the water dish and throw the mouse out of the house. I had one cat that would kill and eat the mouse, another cat that would just play with it. One of my dogs would avidly track down a mouse and go in for the kill and leave it more me to dispose of it.

2. She killed the mouse

I'm not sure whether or not it drowned, but I disposed of the mouse by pouring the mouse-laden water in the back yard. A hawk probably flew in and picked up the carcass.
