::sigh::
Majik liked that brand of canned food last week.
Dixie made burying motions.
They are not over indulged.

(804 posts)She wouldn't touch wet food for 10 years, only kibble. Literally one day out of the blue, she decided she wouldn't touch kibble - any kibble - and now only eats wet food, but only likes 2 kinds. I'm worried sick that she will suddenly decide she won't eat those either.
She's naturally a very thin cat to begin with and can't afford to be hungry.

Just tried the Nature's Logic beef feast on them, they weren't fans. They also liked the FirstMate turkey, but weren't so big on the FirstMate chicken.
I used this site to narrow down my search:

We also feed them NowFresh dry food...

Expensive, but so are vet bills

(32,980 posts)I bought that for Angel Peanut when her appetite got picky her last months. Majik and Angel Mojo were right there when I opened that can. The meows were vigorous and loud.

(60,010 posts)Next day after putting it in fridge not to spoil, he refuses it unless I micro heat to some exact warmth he only knows.
He will eat kibble also and loves to play in/with his water bowl.
Cat # 2 is all about kibbles but also begs when I am cooking dinner. Only likes any sauce on canned food, leaves the rest. Yet he is heftier than his brother.
Go figure.

(17,276 posts)Mine also don't like leftovers. Sometimes I heat it up and sometimes just let it come to room temp. But somehow they can still tell!
My brother's strategy is to put out the day's worth of wet food in the morning, which is one can Fancy Feast for each of his two cats. They eat that, then have their ration of kibble to snack on the rest of the day. One problem with that is the fatter cat will usually get some of the smaller cat's wet food.
But it makes sense because cats in the wild will gorge on a kill and then not need to eat for a while. And they do have their kibble..

Majik is 15, he has always been thin, not picky though.

Animals pranking humans cracks me up!!
My beloved Pomeranian, Shrimpy (r.i.p. 😪 ) would demand one canned food, then suddenly decide she wanted a different flavor. Or she required some garnish like cheeze wiz or bacon bits.
And it ALWAYS had to be cut up into tiny mouthfuls and served by hand. She was a FUSSBUDGET! 😍❤️🐶

(32,980 posts)Angel Peanut would get it with her arthritis meds, so the then 2 cats would get some, that dog is getting it, we want some.
furry fussbudgets indeed.😍😻🐶

(9,267 posts)My cats love their kibble and will lick the gravy off a can of Fancy Feast. But they dont beg at the table or bother us for any people food, not even chicken. My friends cat makes such a pest of herself at mealtime they put her in a closed bedroom, and forget having a snack in front of the TV.

(32,980 posts)I just cut off a small piece when I make bacon or pork chops, easier that way.
😸
He did eat some of the most recently opened can....I have some hopes.🙆

(115,733 posts)Milo once stole an entire pork chop off my plate and ran away with it, and I've pretty much given up on eating a ham sandwich without losing a finger or two. I don't know why he's so crazy about pork products; in nature a cat would have a tough time taking down a pig.

(4,492 posts)WHo was as picky as they come. When I was on the road towards the end of his life (I got him in 8th grade), I left him with my parents.
They gave him pureed chicken livers, tilapia filets and McDonald's. He devoured the dollar menu burgers. At that point he was 17 and anything he would eat he got.
