I stopped bringing cups of water into the bedroom cuz she'd drink it all. I'm not sharing this.

Not only will my cat drink from it, he will (pretty sure intentionally) knock it off the nightstand- usually at 4 in the morning 😏

He'd get all in my face when I was smoking the ganj too.
One day, I was sitting on the couch and had a glass of Southern Comfort on the rocks. Squeeker walked up, sniffed the glass, and looked at me. I looked back up at the tv and he started drinking my Soco! I couldn't believe it! He was a party animal, pun intended. I miss that guy....

We had a Friday after work Beer & Brats party. He was my first dog and I did not know dogs liked beer. A guest found him under a lawnchair snoring. I did wonder if he had a hangover the next am.

Squeeker was the only pet I had that expressed any interest in the old extracurriculars. To this day I'm shocked that he drank Soco! I snatched it away as soon as I noticed, but he got him some. He walked kinda funny for awhile, and then fell asleep next to me...all purrs.

He had a genetic heart problem and he was only with us for four years. He was the first pet I ever had that bonded with me (had childhood allergies). I was his human. His death just tore me up.

If there had been no Alex, there would have been no Duke, no Peanut. A dogs heart is big.

We adopted a baby barn cat who grew into an elegant calico lady. At age 6 she went into heart failure one Friday morning and that was that. The veterinarian explained the genetics of it but I was too numb to catch it all.

She gave me a heart problem, a hole there that can never be filled.

to see a feline cardio specialist at Purdue University. He came in after the exam and said, "your cat has the largest heart I've ever seen." We were devastated. It was a while before we got another. But, while Muddy never replaced Squeeker, he did help the hole in my heart....

Aren't our little thieving beasties awesome? I know I couldn't have gotten through the horrific last few months without my 2 spoiled rescue felines. Even if they do occasionally steal my mint chapstick. They seem to go bonkers over mint, and menthol. Must be related to catnip somehow.
