Never been happy to hear it is a UTI before

My poor old girl Jasmine has enough problems with arthritis and hip dysplasia, so her recent weight loss and elevated kidney levels started to make me really worry.

I guess relieved is a better word - something that can be treated without her having to go through any more tests or procedures.

Just a quick tip from our home to yours on getting a urine sample from your female dog: we fashioned a long cardboard tube (from inside a thing of wrapping paper) and on the end taped an unused dog food scoop - so when she squatted, all we had to do was slide it under her while remaining a respectable distance away to protect her dignity. The vet uses something similar which is where the idea came from.
