I hope that more awareness is given to pets during natural disasters. I would never leave my cats and dogs to evacuate for a hurricane. (different than a tornado... you have warning, so it's not like it happens one day while you are at work and your pets are at home).

What a beautiful picture.

There's nothing I hate more than

That just brings tears to my eyes .

Thank God these two pals still have each other. As awful as this experience must have been, material things can be replaced... But there is a bond like no other than this.

's to Greg and Coco. May they both take comfort in each other as they rebuild their lives- togethor.

Thanks for posting this hobbit. Please, if you see any updates on these two, can you post them?

Says everything that needs to be said about how vital our dear pets are to us and how deserving they are.

I have to go run and hug my own dear doggie now in empathy!

If you are involved in animal rescue, start preparing for the onslaught of fur-babies in need of new homes.

I saw a similar image on our local news this morning as a man pulled his miraculously unharmed Beagle out of what was left of his home in West Liberty, KY.

Precious furry miracles!!!! I'm so happy for the people and the dogs, I completely understand, they are family. I had our dog Layla held against me in our interior closet as the tornado sirens blared on Friday afternoon. One of my big fears was something happening to her. The funnel cloud went over south Lexington and struck in Madison county then, dodged a bullet this time.
