anyone in VA/WV/MD able to foster or adopt a kitten or two? Or have a farm for their momma?

A few kittens in the NoVa area need a foster home or a permanent home; their mother would do well in a barn/farm situation if the new owner was willing to help situate the mother there so she knew it was her new home and didn't run. Doesn't take that long for cats to figure out their new living situation, but the mother couldn't be just set loose in a new area without acclimation.

A friend of mine has a Facebook page about the kittens; one apparently has been adopted and I don't know yet which two are still available. Click over for photos.

The mother has been spayed, and I believe the kitties either are or will be spayed/neutered soon-ish.

You're a gem. I can't be involved in this kind of work anymore, but knowing that you, and good people I know back in Maryland, are fighting for the kids gives me comfort and hope.

Mr. Moustache (see him at www.tomthecat.com) brought me two kittens this summer and I found homes for them -he's getting neutered asap) is the only one I hope to continue to care for -- there are a few others that I'd like to get neutered and let them do their thing. I'm about out of this, too - I'd like to be, even though I love them all -- but people in this area know me as someone to ask to get the word out. It can be (as you know) completely encompassing and debilitating.

Anyway - if you have Facebook friends you can share the link with - people in Maryland who could foster - please share.
