Kristen Lindsey found in violation by the Texas Veterinary

This morning in Austin Kristen E. Lindsey was found to be IN VIOLATION by the Texas State Veterinary Board.

Penalties and details of violation are expected in October.

This is the Texas vet who shot Tiger, the cat, with a bow and arrow, and then bragged about it on Facebook by posting a picture. Alley Cat Allies has posted about this on their site and their Facebook page, but their link doesn't appear to be working so that I can post that link here. As soon as I find that link working, I will update this post.

This is good news after no criminal charges were filed against Ms. Lindsey.

and she could no longer have that career anywhere in the US, I would think that is a better punishment than jail time...although both would be ideal.

I know of no one who would suggest that cats and dogs, even feral ones, should be HUNTED. Trap, neuter and release is the way to go. They've known that for a long time. What she did wasn't just cruel and immoral, it was bad animal science.

that it was not a feral cat that she happily killed. It was a family's pet. What she did was horrid, and knowing now that she didn't even know that it was not a feral cat makes it more horrid.

Will be interesting to see what happens in October. This "violation" finding is kind of vague right now. Keeping my fingers crossed for Tiger.

I'm hoping the Board takes this seriously, but who knows, it may just be a slap on the wrist. But at least it's a black mark on her record.

Back when this all took place, I know I wrote an email to the board requesting that her license be suspended, and I'm quite sure that many other people did too.

She has no business in the medical field.

I did, as well. I think the Board received a LOT of feedback from concerned citizens and each person who took the time to email, write, call, etc. was a positive part of this process!

and got a response within 24 hours, which I thought was a good sign that they seemed to be paying attention to the public. Hopefully, she'll have to find another career...maybe dentistry. She can work with Cecil's murderer....I hope those two NEVER have a moment's peace for the rest of their lives!

she ran through its head.

I can't imagine anyone that vicious.

What pet owner in his/her right mind would even want to drive past her office?

As someone on the thread mentioned, she and the great white hunter would make perfect companions for each other.
