I've concluded that making minimum wage cleaning dog and kitteh poo is preferable to making double+ minimum and hanging out with 2-legged lab rats. Emphasis on the word rats.

Besides which, the lab rats cut me off without notice or warning. Like they didn't know they were hiring 2 old friends (4 months earlier than the 2 retiring techs actually retire) until I saw myself missing from September's schedule on Saturday. But they appreciate all I've done for them, really they do. Just not enough to spare 5 minutes from a busy day one of the many times I've seen them over recent weeks to give me a heads up so I could mitigate the financial damage they apparently intended to inflict deliberately. (sorry...still reeling. )

Seriously, I just drove around to check out the local opportunities, plus the further away shelter opening. The shelter is the only one I brought home an app from. I really hope it works out.
