These 2 Pups Were Tied to a Post and Left for Dead. Their Rescue Will Warm Your Heart!

One of the first lessons we learn in life is that you never hurt the ones you love – animals included. Strangely enough, a large percentage of abused animals that end up in shelters are actually former family pets.

This video by Randy Grim of Stray Rescue of St. Louis shows two dogs that were left behind by their guardians. These dogs were once part of a loving family, but it seems like the owners abandoned their homes and left their dogs to fend for themselves.

As if abandoning the pups wasn’t bad enough, the dogs were left leashed to their posts which means they couldn’t leave to find food or water for themselves even if they wanted to. The two dogs would have suffered a slow, agonizing death by dehydration if Randy and his team hadn’t intervened. Luckily, the dogs were both saved and are now in good hands.

While these two cuties thankfully got their happy ending, this story ends tragically for too many other pets. Please, we implore you, if you ever see a pet that’s tied up outside for days at a time or an animal that shows signs of abuse, call your local shelter or animal control immediately for help.
