New Guinea Singing Dogs need home

There are two New Guinea Singing Dogs that need a home. Pictures at this link:

(Sorry, have to cut and paste into your browser.)

They're not domesticated dogs. They need highly secure living conditions. Taking them in is a serious decision that requires a long-term commitment. But from everything I've read, these dogs are life-changing -- people who have kept them are totally in love with them.

You can read more about them at the New Guinea Singing Dog Conservation Society, http://newguinea-singing-dog-conservation.org/Zoos.html

In particular, read the "Living with NGSD" link.

There is a facebook group with a lot of supportive people who will give you tons of advice about caring for them.

If you're interested, please let me know and I'll put you in touch with people who can provide further advice before you make a decision.

I've never met one in person but I've been a member of the New Guinea Singing Dog Conservation Society for several years. There's a wonderful Facebook community where they post pictures and talk about the dogs. I love it!

They are not easy dogs to keep which is why i get really upset when they're dumped in shelters. Finding appropriate homes for them is quite difficult. Right now, society members are working hard to find them a suitable home or zoo.
