NEW YORK (WABC) --
A frightened kitten was rescued from the subway tracks Thursday during the afternoon rush hour in Manhattan.

According to the New York City Police Department, George, a cat from Washington Heights, got scared by the noise of a train and broke free from his owner at the Canal Street station.

IMO the owner was stupid for not having the cat in a carrier.

Owners are also stupid when they take their cat to the vet without a carrier. No cat is that trustworthy to never bolt and run away.
