I had two older females (10 and 12) and added a young male in January. He has that same look on his face as Harvey--"please be my friend--I'm nice, really nice!"

The girls have accepted him--it has been almost five months and they don't growl any more. In the evening the tabby will play with him--pawsies, nothing too rough--and the longhair will chase around with him, and give him an affectionate sniff, "hello", almost as if she is glad to see him! I don't see them cuddling up together, but they will sleep a foot or so apart, no problem. In the beginning he tried to sleep right on top of them and soon found out that that wasn't going to happen!

He's just one year old and still has a lot of kitten in him, which is fun, most of the time. Clawing up the screens to get at bugs is not one of those times.
