Sorry I've been negligent with the pics. The AC unit broke in the room I had them in, and I had to move them to the basement. It's been a busy week. They have all been picked and they will be going home this week.

(32,975 posts)I took a leash and clipped it to my jeans belt loop, so I knew what he was doing every second he was out of his crate. We both potty trained each other; for 12 years I rarely went alone to the bathroom. Miss that dog still.

(28,120 posts)We pick up our little yellow girl Saturday. Yay!
I'm sorry you lost your fur baby and that our precious fur babies cannot live for many decades.

(60,010 posts)My first Golden was a rescue pup, and I waited 20 years to get another one, because I did not want to leave one home alone while I was working.
We moved into our retirement home down here in Sept.'05, and I got my Golden pup in Oct. He has been at my side ever since except for a couple of overnight vet visits.
I also have a 13 year old tabby who stays glued to me all the time..I think he thinks he is a dog.

(28,120 posts)Male puppies don't start to lift their leg to pee until they're between 6 and 12 months old -- that's when they reach sexual maturity. In the puppy stage, there's not much of a difference between male and female puppy pee-pee styles.

(7,473 posts)My family has Labs and I can attest to the fact that these are the best dogs! I hope the new owners of these great pups love them as much as we all love our 'other' family. Thanks for posting this sequence.

(1,136 posts)So adorable.
I'm happy they all have homes to go to! I would have a hard time giving up those precious balls of fur. Fostering is an amazing thing, and I'm so glad there are wonderful people like you out there to do it. I fear I would quickly become a crazy dog lady with a house full of "failed" fosters. I'm hopeful when I no longer have to work full time (if that ever happens???) I will be a foster!

(21,716 posts)Yay!
To be honest, at this point I am ready for them to go to their new homes. They are becoming a crazy puppy pack. Still cute as can be, But they are little devils now, with sharp teeth! I think they will be much better when they are separated. I used to be able to move them around 2 at a time. Now I can only take 1 at a time. When they first came, we brought them into the house in the laundry basket. That would be impossible now.

(1,136 posts)I've seen the "my little girl" comments on your posts, and was hoping it was real and not just pretend like my love of the chocolate baby.
I'm sure having all those puppies can be exhausting. And, they are heading right into their version of "terrible twos". I think I forget about that part when I think about puppies...remember the precious babies and then the awesome grown up versions...but there is a time period there when I've asked with each of mine "WTF have I done???"
Regardless...you are my hero with fostering that many babies. Such an awesome thing to do. And, just think, in another week you will be able to get some sleep!

(21,716 posts)Try 8 in their terrible twos. And Momma isn't much older, she is only 18 months. She is a sweetheart, but she has her moments too. Momma is ready for the pups to go home too.

(9,265 posts)Especially now that my daughter and her husband just got a black lab puppy a week ago, my first granddog! Lucy is now 9 weeks old and looks a little smaller than your guys, with shorter legs. She's doing great with house training, loves her crate, and they're teaching her to be gentle with the "nips", especially with my 2 little grandkids. Best of luck to your babies in their new homes!
