PETA's Father's Day Message: Don't Let Your Dog Be A Deadbeat Dad

Calling it an unconventional Father's Day message, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or PETA, acquired billboard space to tell motorists to neuter their dogs.

Thanks, PETA.

The billboard, which the group says is at Loop 410 near Starcrest, features a dog nursing her puppies along with a message: "Don't Let Your Dog Be a Deadbeat Dad. Get Him Neutered Today."

"By having dogs and cats 'fixed,' people can prevent them from becoming deadbeat dads and single moms and, best of all, put a dent in companion-animal homelessness," PETA Senior Director Colleen O'Brien says in a press release. "PETA is calling on kind people everywhere to prevent unwanted births and ensure that no puppy or kitten is born into a world that's bursting at the seams with unwanted animals."
