HELP! My cats are now indoor

And the little kitten I never got rid of is now 7 months old and shitting in one of our rooms. The room is empty except for an occasional turd. LOL! He used to use the litter box, and I keep it clean. I don't know what to do. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Thanks

esp if they are sharing one box with other cats after having
had the whole outside world.. they need their poopyspace.

I can try that. I do have another litter box. I just thought it was weird, because he used to use the community box. There's only 3 of them for the most part. My other cat Cosmo is MIA. He hates being indoors so he shows up every so often for petting and food, then I trap him in till he escapes again. Thanks, I'll put the other box up.

And my other cat Amity just used it, while the little shitter just watched. LOL! Now the other cat Victor is using it. I remember this is why I didn't do this to begin with. I guess I'll have to wait and see if it's up to snuff with the little one. He's digging right now. Looking at it like it's something new, and he's out. He's back. Success, but just pee. By morning or later this evening will be the real test.

cats all have to mark every new litter box. It just has to happen. If you only have one cat, and a litter box they use all the time, just put a second box down and see how long it takes before that one cat messes up the new one. Let's just hope that the little one will use one of the boxes now.

of 3 boxes spread out (if you have 3 cats). When I had 2 indoor cats I had 2 litter boxes, one in a bathroom and one in the utility room. Cats can be pretty fussy about their litter boxes.

Seriously--it might just be a phase. He is neutered, right?

My daughter has a cat who will poop on the floor next to the litter box, if said box is not cleaned every single day. In other words, if there is anything in it, she won't use it.

Yes he's neutered. And the second box is working. Thanks to everyone who posted here. He's a teenager who thinks the other cats just love to play with him. LOL! They hiss and claw and run, but it's all in fun for the most part. His buddy Victor AKA uncle Vic growls at him when Victor is cleaning himself if the kitten walks by. The kitten loves his uncle Vic. He always hugs his neck and licks him, and I'm sure some biting may happen too. It's so cute, but Victor gets pissed. But Victor attacks my female cat Amity, so the circle of life continues.
