but other than that they seem to be oblivious to TV.

he also loves to stare out the window.
but he likes a lot of nature shows, and especially likes to watch bears. fights always get his attention.
if he is really enjoying himself, he will sit up, leaning against the back of the couch. quite the sight.

Her favorite was a Nova about Cats, she would get very excited and jump off the couch and run up to the TV when a big cat - lion tiger - was on TV. She loved to watch Lassie reruns, used to run in the room when I would turn it on and the theme played - but - and let this be a warning - one day Lassie was attacked by a rabid dog and it so upset my dog to see 2 dogs fighting , that she refused to watch that show after that, She left the room during the fight and would not come back. When I would turn on the show, and the theme would play, she would leave the room. So, when I wanted her to be busy, I would play the taped Nova over and over again.

My current dog is oblivious to the TV, nothing on it gets her attention, even noises.
