Mr. McManus suffers from anxiety and Shadow helps him manage his symptoms. The two have been flying together for about nine years with a specially made harness for Shadow.

I love how Shadow looks so calm in that photo, as if to say, "yeah, whatever ...."

(2,289 posts)If his neighbor's cat misbehaves, Shadow can swoop in from above. Barks away!
As for the old man down the block that yells at everyone, telling them to get off his grass (There is a guy like this in almost every neighborhood) - Shadow can use the hang-glider to bombard the yard. Doggie poop from above! If only they could finish it with a happy barrel roll .

(9,298 posts)My neighbor, Gail, who suffers from rheumatoid arthritis and uses a scooter, has a service dog, Dale, who accompanies her everywhere. Gail and Dale. He is invaluable to her, and I've told her we need to have a Service Dogs Day in this country.
