1. What needs watering now?

Isn't it kind of early to need to water? Or, are you just getting it going for the season?

But yes, that makes it spring in my book, too.

We alternated intense snow squalls/whiteouts with sunshine today. It was funny, because it would turn very dark and snow like crazy, the pavement and grass would turn white, then 5 minutes later the sun would come out, and all of the snow except for that in the shade would melt. Then, half an hour or an hour later, it was lather, rinse, and repeat.

2. grass seed and

a plum tree that had a big root/sucker pruning over the winter. make or break, but it never had fruit. so, some water is good.

3. Bah. Apparently your spring comes earlier than mine.

I would have frozen pipes and burst hoses if I tried to get my outdoor watering equipment out yet.

4. it has been an amazingly mild winter.

i am sure we will have more cold. but snowdrops are blooming and all the bulbs are itching to come up.
