First Frost.

Last night, patchy but pretty hard.

It's ok with me, it was a rough year all around for the garden, starting with a string of 80/90 degree days in March, followed by hard freezes in late April, drought and heat in June and July. Crazy year.

Let's hope 2013 is a better season.

1. Worst garden year ever (Area 6) All I have left is Basil. Most things died on the vine.

Some things never grew at all. Bringing bunches of basil to co-volunteers tomorrow. First frost due this week. I hope next year is better. Lots of things I tried to grow, would have been blanched and frozen. Not this year.
Strange growing season.
How much basil and how much Pesto can you use? I love it but........

I hope others have had a better growing season than i did,.

I am in town, and it doesn't usually hit close to all the houses the first couple of frosts, but it was freaking cold!

I had brought in all the tomatoes that were still on the plants and they are hopefully going to ripen on the windowsill. Peppers that are left are all tiny, so not worth picking. Damned tomato and pepper plants are still blooming, better than they did all summer. Dang it.

Here's to 2013!
