Watch this Raised Bed Garden Come to Life!

Kunstler was on a radio program (have not listened to the podcast yet), so I was curious about what he was up to and went to his web site. He has built this raised bed garden in the first home that he's owned up in Greenwich, NY. It's really cool to see it come to life!

I was a little distressed over the trees he took down, however. You can see them in the first photo.

Not bad for a first-timer!

Take that from me. And he didn't take too many trees---there are still a lot of them there. It looks good.

The tree grew to an amazing height, but my veggies didn't do so well.

Except for the tomato's soil. I put that into the flower beds.

I have been told that it is bad, but why is it bad? I planted all kinds of things in my old tomato soil before I was told this. I put in old compost material and plant other things in my tomato pots. What is the story here?

I check the roots when I take out the plants. Do you think that is enough?

Also, I never plant tomatoes in the same pot two years in a row.
