Related: About this forumHow to make an omelet in the microwave:
I recently baked and had some leftover beaten egg from the egg-wash. So......
Microwave-omelet
ingredients:
- eggs
- milk
- salt
1.
Crack the eggs in a bowl and thoroughly whisk them until very smooth. Add a dash of milk (about half as much volume as the eggs) and a pinch of salt. Whisk until well-combined.
2.
You need something with a flat bottom, like a soup-dish, or it won't cook evenly. (Optional, cover with baking-sheet.) Pour in some of the eggy liquid, but no higher than half an inch, or it won't cook evenly.
3.
The next step is pretty much trial&error because it depends on your microwave power. Put the dish with the baking-sheet and the egg into the microwave-oven and microwave on medium-to-low setting for 1-2 minutes at a time. Touch the surface of the egg with your finger: If it's solid and scalding-hot, then it's done. (Not hot enough means that there is some runny egg hidden under the surface.)

(25,242 posts)Works great in microwave!!! I learned how to replicate the product & now I make my own using a container I saved from the original product.
I dice up ham or a breakfast sausage. I added diced onion, pepper & tomato. I throw in some hash brown potato & cheese and then add an egg just like in the original store bought product. I experiment with spices and different cheeses for different tastes. It works great just like the store bought one.
Try it out. I think you'll like it.

The microwave would give you unscrambled scrambled eggs.
