haven't considered what to do with the rice yet. Again, I am not very motivated.

Using turkey for ground beef in meatloaf.

meatloaf is such a comfort food to me. But the turkey loaf is good!

There were some meatloaf threads recently that were interesting. I like to experiment!

I also like to use a mix of ground turkey and ground pork for my "meatballs".

I call them pork balls

combo. I remember the pork/beef combo more.

What was cruel was how good they smelled when she fried them up and THEN put them in the sauce.

The smell of meat cooking is all I'd need to give up national security secrets.

I've really been hungry for a nice big salad, but it's still so cold here that we seem to be going with heartier meals. Soups and stews and roasted things.

Well, I might sneak some of the ham that needs eating in both, as dh likes his meat.

It is great being in a place where I can send dh into the market every day to get what I need. We decided to spend one more week here and I am grateful. Weather is perfect right now.

Enjoy your fajitas!

Will eat ham for days then veer across the road and it's all fish, then veer across the road and it's ham then veer across the road...

I like variety, lots of it. So if I have to buy more than I need, I often end up with something I'm not interested in the next day.

My solution has been to make more than we will eat, then have a leftover night every 3rd or 4th night.

Hey, I got to have ice cream last night!! Another advantage of being moored in town.

Funny story about ginger. I sent whatshisname out with a list yesterday and had ginger listed. I usually break off a small piece and pay pennies for it. He picked up one of the largest pieces of ginger I have ever seen.

Says he is going to make ginger beer out of it.

I think i'd like it! I always have fresh ginger on hand for my juicing, and I'm going to have to try that!
I saw a scary egg salad the other day watching The Best Thing I Ever Ate at Hulu. They used REALLY soft boiled eggs in chunks, with a toasted olive bread. The person being interviewed was raving about it, but it frightened me!
