Scotch eggs are a unique recipe that can be used as an appetizer or anytime of the day. A soft boiled egg is transformed when you wrap it in sausage, cover in bread crumbs and deep fry it for a great tasting recipe!

Love listening to this 'ole boy talk. Sort of takes my back home.

Looking forward to trying this one some day......

Being from the South, I immediately tried to identify that brogue but missed the mark. He's originally from Southwest Oklahoma near the Texas border, a town called Hollis, OK.

Everyone I've known from out West in that area had what I always called a Northern accent. His brogue is more of what I would identify with Arkansas or maybe Alabama. It could be a bit of put-on, too.

He does have some interesting recipes: https://www.youtube.com/user/krollins57/videos

I'm teaching myself to cook again, so picking up tips where I can. Feeding myself and a 34-YO son can be challenging, but takes me back to my country roots. I have no shortage of recipes including many of my mom's and my wife's, but having to simplify all I can to minimize waste and grocery trips.

A little history: Cracker Barrel originated from the county where I was raised......

Every recipe I have seen calls for the sausage wrap. I suppose you could try something else, but then they would not be Scotch eggs.
