I would have rather baked it, but Bill wanted fried and battered and he was cooking, so he won! It's delicious fish. Not fishy at all and really tasty!

(106,886 posts)Firm white fish. Holds up real well to baking or breaded / batter dipped fried dishes. It's been showing up next to the tilapia in a lot of seafood departments at local markets. Fillets are thicker and firmer than tilapia, though. Tried it recently, liked it a lot.

(32,086 posts)Swai started popping up in the grocery stores here over the past year. It's really inexpensive, too. I may have to give it a try one soon. I'm a big fan of Parmesan-crusted fish, and Swai sounds like it might be good for that.

(9,791 posts)Since I never heard of it I was hesitant to buy some. I like catfish so I think I'll give swai a try.
I'm resting a LOT but am able to eat some. So that's a plus. Hope all is well with you!

(106,886 posts)No, I don't cook Thai - leftovers from a big lunch. Met ex-boss for lunch today, we've maintained our friendship. More than enough food for another meal later today.

It's not hard to make but I have an under/over done noodle issue. Have to go buy two or three batches of noodles so I can practice without caring about wrecking them. That worked well when I learned how to make low mein, also pretty easy.

(32,086 posts)Taking advantage of another fabulous produce deal from Aldi. I tend to roast my cauliflower, and I decided to do something different. I have the fixin's for pizza, so what the heck. Still have another head, and that will probably wind up roasted, or turned into faux mashed potatoes.

Standard home cooked food for this area.
