just 1 more to go.
Since Thanksgiving I have baked two cranberry orange coffee cakes, 1 apple coffeecake, 1 batch of chocolate shadow cookies, 1 batch of spicy Mexican Chocolate cookies, 2 chocolate pound cakes, 1 bourbon cake, 1 lemoncello cake, 1 rum cake, 2 Italian Cream cakes and have one more chocolate pound cake to go.
It's always fun, even when I have to make a sudden run to Braum's to grab extra milk!

(16,862 posts)I'd kill for a good lemoncello cake. I had a nurse in RI that made one on my birthday every year!!

(22,264 posts)My friend makes the lemoncello, and she wants a cake for the League of Women Voters fundraiser. This was a Frankencake: basic cake from one recipe, but it didn't have a soaking liquid so I stole that from a different recipe, and the glaze from a third recipe.
I LOVE Pinterest which is where I found all three of the recipes. I have not heard from the person who bought at the auction to see if I want to keep it on my choices list.

(2,674 posts)Behind on my baking because my old boy has been very ill. Went to the store on Saturday and purchased all I needed for baking. I was going to bake today, but I had a "Piddle Day" where I just piddled around and didn't do much of anything. Everyone needs a "Piddle Day" every so often.
Tomorrow is going to be a serious cookie baking day. Cookies will be for Christmas gifts.

Made these yesterday. Like a delicate crispy caramel.
Also made regular chocolate chip, chocolate chip with caramel M & Ms, snickerdoodles, molasses spice and tassies (the cute baby pecan pies). Labor-intensive but worth it.

(22,264 posts)last week. I took my Spicy Chocolate cookies to that one. The thin caramel was good. I don't know if it had oatmeal in it or not but I don't care because it was good
