(25,266 posts)The recipe worked out great. The dish came out just like the picture and they tasted great.
The only thing I would add is - make sure that you get all the potatoes shaped about the same size.

(22,047 posts)Thanks for sharing your experience. This dish is obviously pretty easy to execute. I guess the key is that patience is a virtue and just wait for the spuds to get fully cooked.
I was searching YouTube for political content and this recipe popped up. Maybe YouTube's algorithms consider Republicans spuds?!

(34,137 posts)They are pretty good. Lots of the fancier UK restaurants serve them, from my experience.
Thanks for posting the video - now I can make them when I like - though I prefer smashed potatoes since I like the skins:

Theyre pretty to look at, but just kind of okay to eat. Ill take home fries any day.

(22,047 posts)I'm planning this as an accompaniment for our Thanksgiving Friday dinner featuring a beautiful beef tenderloin roast. Last night, we found our test of this dish to be awesome! (Never try a new recipe for guests!)
Regardless, have a delicious Thanksgiving dinner, spinbaby!
