(2,945 posts)cakes are wonderful works of art. I am so jealous because I don't have an artistic bone in my body.
Haggis for Breakfast
(6,831 posts)For a few years, I was into the cupcake thing, everything from separate cup cakes to groups of them that created something larger. I made stiletto high heel cupcakes for a party that were so cute no one would actually eat them. Same think happened with the Chinese Dragon I made for a Chinese New Year celebration that was comprised of three sizes of cupcake and lots of colors and bridges of flame and NO ONE would eat any of it.
But I really enjoyed doing it and it was fun. And THAT'S the important part.

(4,608 posts)Thanks for sharing these photos! I thoroughly enjoyed looking at your fun and beautiful cakes. You are very talented! It's difficult to pick, but I think my favorite is the penguins. The dragon was a close second (I looove dragons). The asparagus is super cool, and the detail on the Beauty and the Beast cake is amazing!
Congratulations on your recent win, it was well deserved!

(34,111 posts)How did you learn this? I have a few books but always get side tracked or just plain muddled down with all the little bits. Whatever, it does not matter, you have a real talent. Congratulations on all the wins, this takes such an enormous amount of work I bet they feel all the sweeter for it.

What's the gold glitter in 2016? Is that, in fact, gold glitter??
And on the same cake, are the cobblestones petit fours?
Inquiring, hungry minds want to know!
