Earlier this summer, I made up two quarts of pitted cherries soaked in rum with a good bit of added sugar. I was thinking of removing a few, draining them, then dipping them in chocolate.

I'll bring the chocolate and fondue. Who can bring a bunch of toothpicks.
Soaked in rum you say,... should we appoint a designated driver so we all get home safely ?

(16,296 posts)in rum and sugar. He put up gallons of them, thanks to his mini-cherry orchard. He invited our extended family at Xmas to eat them with good Polish kielbasi, porgies, and sour mushroom soup. Good times.
I have about 1/2 pint and am going to use them to glaze some baby back ribs after making it into a sauce.
