What's for Dinner, Mon., Aug. 5, 2019

Looks like takeout tonight: salads. Shrimp salad, chicken salad, egg salad and a few others he didn't name since he was calling from the road on his way from NYC.

Dessert will be "bread and chocolate." Ciabatta and some of that crazy chocolate I wrote about last week.

We had a bunch of leftovers from this weekend so tonight will be the clean-up feast.

Barbecued spare ribs, chicken thighs and a few shrimp. Grilled corn-on-the-cob and fresh salad from the garden including a Brandywine tomato. Dark chocolate with red wine for dessert.

It was great!

Somehow, so much food tastes even better on the second round.

Irisblue is away for around 45 days and was asking if someone could take over the breakfast thread for a while.

My breakfasts range from nothing to full-blown meals.

Nonetheless, I'll cover for our foodie-friend.

Carolina and California peaches have been awful...Carolina peaches are mushy and California peaches ...never ripen and have no taste. Ohio grows quite a few peaches...the weather was not great but we have good peaches now... but a smaller crop. Have a great day. I enjoy reading about what folks have for dinner and have tried some of the recipes...I don't always post but I always read it.
