Who has an air fryer and do you like it?

I bought a Crux and I'm not that impressed with it. I'm gonna use it tonight for french fries to go along with chili dogs. I've been putting foil in the bottom of the basket the last few times so it's not so bad of a clean up afterwards.

Faster than an oven, better results than a microwave

I’ve air fried shrimp, French fries, egg rolls and reheated frozen pizza.

My husband wants a bigger one. We got the first model and have learned there are more advanced models with larger capacity.

I always use the highest temp setting. Not sure about putting foil on the bottom because the heat circulates through the holes there. Mine cleans very easy and the baskets are dishwasher safe.
Hot dogs I do about 8 minutes, I like them quite browned. Then put them in the rolls and air fry another 2 minutes and you have hot toasted rolls too. Yummy.

Perfect for summer, no hot oven. Lightly coat potato with vegetable oil, prick with fork, air fry at highest settings about 45 min. Can do 2 or 3 at a time.
Cinnamon toast - mix a lump of softened butter or margarine with about 1 tbsp sugar and a healthy dash of cinnamon. Spread on your favorite bread. Air fry about 6 minutes. Mmmm.

That hot air needs to circulate all around the food to thoroughly cook it and get the outside crispy. Using foil leaves the bottom of the food soggy.

You can buy various liners to keep your air fryer cleaner. These disposable, perforated round parchment papers still allow the hot air to circulate while reducing clean up chores.

Be sure to preheat first. A light mist of cooking spray makes foods even crispier. This is very useful When cooking breaded foods like chicken, fish and shrimp. When cooking large amounts, stop half way and toss the fries to evenly cook all sides.

and tater tots. Easy to put a side in there while I'm making main course for dinner. Just a light spray of cooking oil, no real frying necessary.

Chicken wings came out excellent (yes, only about 6 can fit in this one). Light coating of olive oil, season well with garlic salt and lemon pepper seasoning. Crispy skin, tender and juicy on the inside. I can't achieve that in the real oven.
