(22,144 posts)and a banana raita. I'll have to spend some time covering up as many flowers as possible this evening. Temps are going down to the high teens tonight!! The local weather guy said the plants/trees were 5-6 weeks ahead of normal.
I knew it wouldn't last, but geez.....

(41,694 posts)Got some spicy stir fried veggies with beef(thin sliced steak, red bell pepper, leeks, lots of garlic, baby carrots, Thai bird peppers, and enoki mushrooms. Heat skillet, add a little oil, throw in leftover rice. when it starts to sizzle, add the stir fry until warmed-tasty.

(3,744 posts)I fixed some pan seared lamb chops and made a sauce with dried cherries on top. Yum! Also made a raw asparagus salad that is too yummy. Never made it before.

(3,744 posts)You can go to foodnetwork.com and search Anne Burrell's recipes for Asparagus Salad with Pecorino. It is yummy and could be eaten on its own.

And it's happening before I run out of food!
Making my list now and looking forward to having fresh produce. And cheese. And eggs. And yogurt.

cinnamon life is good for a sweet fix without it being overly so.

(35,675 posts)Do you think this sounds good? My husband is away and he's the expert. I would normally ask him and he'd help me with my "invention." I don't have that "internal" tasting ability that many of you probably have.
So here's what I did:
10 oz.turkey breast; cut it in strips
1 lb cheese/spinach tortellini
carrots
celery
leeks
chicken broth
Okra crumbles for the top
I coated the okra in breadcrumbs after dipping it in egg. I fried it and then drained it on paper towels. I used it as a crunchy topping for my soup.
I think it needs an herb. I'm going to pick up some dill or thyme to add to it tomorrow.
