What's for Dinner, Sun., June 30, 2019

Fresh tuna steak with dill, parsley, and basil. Toast points from this unusual bread the RG bought at an Asian market--it has nuts and olives in it (sounds Italian to me!).

He also made fresh peach croustade.

I added some red salmon for the protein and omega-3s. No one in my family has a problem with gluten, so I made it with regular pasta, but I like this blog - I sometimes cook for people that do need gluten free food, plus I like her writing and her healthy(ish) recipes.

Fresh salmon steak lightly coated with olive oil and seasoned with homegrown dill, parsley and oregano. I'm going to flash cook it on a really hot grill.

As an accompaniment, angel hair pasta with pesto made from homegrown basil.

The Landlady(!)'s garden has been overgrown with red and green leaf lettuces and the spinach is going crazy, too. We'll make some kind of salad from it all.

For dessert, a sliced pear is marinating in brandy and will be accompanied by espresso.

I hope all of DU's foodies have a great Fourth of July week!
