Coffee and cream.

I asked the RG about using young turnip greens in an omelette, so he gave me a cooking lesson.
He told me to dip the greens in boiling water. They still had crunch when they were chopped, though, which is what he said was desirable. We sauteed the greens and chopped onions with a little cherry tomato, then mixed grated parmesan into the egs and poured the eggs over the greens.
Put the omelette in an ancient grains wrap. So delicious.
p.s. what a surprise the taste was! Not at all strong--it was a nutty taste.
awful and full of crap. 
and to make it even better it was the end of a pot that had been sitting around for hours. I like when it has had time to "mellow." add two big spoons of sugar (with it still coming out of the sugar container as the first spoonful is dumped in) and three of powdered, fake creamer. 
sat on the porch and enjoyed the hell out of it. then I watered all my damn plants.
then I had a big salad and some buttered popcorn with iced tea. now, that is BREAKFAST!
oh yeah, finished a container of blackberries in there somewhere, too.
I haven't been down that since the second track went in and I didn't realize the maintenance road had been moved to the east side.
