Chicken thighs covered with mustard and then panko, oven-baked. The RG made creamy mustard sauce to go with it, too. They were roasted in the oven in a cast iron skillet, which gives a nice browned exterior.
Savoy cabbage, sliced, in sesame oil, ginger, and with cracked coriander seeds.
The salad is most magnificent: the RG made it (normally I'm in charge of salads). It's a "striped" salad. There is a strip of radicchio for the red, frisee' for the bright green, and endive for the white. There is also chopped bacon (applewood smoked). He made Caesar salad dressing to go on top.
For dessert, chocolate chip/coffee gelato and a milk chocolate sandwich cookie.
eggs, cream, potatoes, onion, sweet Italian sausage, frozen peas, shredder Parmesan cheese,
Sunny Paris herb mix, and a little S & P.

FLFC was allowed a half of a chicken dog, one of his favorites. He also astounded us by wanting and eating some of a hush puppy.
Sauteed gyro strips, made a quickie tzatziki sauce, chopped some cucumber and tomato, then rolled that up in piece of lavash.
We just got back from three days in the Twin Cities. We had a real foodie holiday: Italian, Russian, Ecuadorian and Cambodian food in restaurants, and shopping in a market attached to a Persian market, an Asian supermarket, and a liquor store with a bigger, more cosmopolitan selection than here. We also went to a couple art museums, a historic mansion, and my husband got to participate in his favorite hobby, shape-note singing, with Minnesota friends he's made over the years.
