What's for Dinner, Tues., Feb. 26, 2019

Last edited Tue Feb 26, 2019, 07:50 PM - Edit history (1)

Posting early due to working late. I will post what we're having later.

One thing I want to do, though, on my way home from work is to purchase some bok choy. My friend gave me a recipe for kimchi and I want to get it started tonight!

on edit: came home to find a pork roast in the oven, along with a couple Portuguese sausages. I asked the RG to make an accompaniment of sliced apples.

We have freshly shelled cranberry beans.

I'm making tossed green salad with sliced fennel. I picked up the fennel when I bought the bok choy. It's beautiful.

Dessert: last of the tres leches cake.

In various ways-sauteed with button mushrooms & other veggies, slivered into miso or Asian styled soups, & in egg rolls.

Please consider doing a photo log over time and posting your recipe .

Also, one website recommended a seperate small fridge if you make enough b/c of the strong fragrances, are you going to do that?

I do have a "cold room" that stays in the 40s, and since temps in a refrig are usually 40-49, that would probably work.

"Strong fragrances," LOL.

I will get some photos of the process. My baby bok choys I picked up last night were very fresh.

(I'd add peppers to that but we don't have any.)

Homemade baked beans (made them this morning), green beans, sliced tomatoes.

It was delicious. I put brie on half of the pizza as an experiment. It worked. Will definitely do that again!
