Veal stew. Has potatoes, parsnips, and...lemon! Yes, roasted lemon.
Tossed salad with red and yellow peppers, red onion, tomatoes, and cucumbers.
Dessert will be the last of the apple pie and I think I'll have it again with cheddar cheese.

(17,485 posts)The chili seems better after sitting a couple of days.
We had a turkey breast we were going to bake today, but entirely forgot about it.
FLFC wanted (insisted on) going out while I cleaned the snow from TJ's car. I looked over at him and he was sitting in the cleared path motionless. He's never motionless outside and he rarely sits. He wouldn't come or acknowledge me. Apparently he was waiting for me to finish and go inside because I walked to the door and he beat me to it.
He had been out less than ten minutes and I guess was just cold and miserable. After a while he became more animated and begged a bacon peanut butter treat. He then fell asleep. So that's his dinner, one half a beggin strip.
I expect I'll hear from him later.

(22,050 posts)Took it out of the freezer earlier. When I got home, it stank to high heaven! In the trash it went!
We have some frozen shrimp so the Landlady(!) will make shrimp creole. It's good to have food in the freezer!
