What's for Dinner, Thurs.. Nov. 29, 2018

We had veal breast slices over pureed vegetables (carrots, potatoes, turnips, parsley). The puree' was so delicious!

Dessert: java chip ice cream.

Sorry about posting so late. My computer's cords were mixed up and it took some time to figure them out.

I made a chuck roast with rutabagas, onions and mushrooms. The recipe called for a cup of red wine. I can’t waste the time rest of the bottle can I?

Just checking in. Still traveling to my mom’s house half the week as she continues to decline 😕 I made vegetable soup for her yesterday at her request. It turned out pretty good and I brought some home for our dinner 😊
A request for my C & B friends: I’ve developed an ugly lump on my calf. I’ve put it off because of caring for my mom, but I’m going to the dermatologist tomorrow. My GP was pretty horrified by it on Monday, so...the usual: thought, prayers, good vibes, etc. Thanks and I read the posts every day and truly enjoy them ❤️

Surprised to hear your GP was 'pretty horrified,' as they usually avoid emotional responses (imo.)

Glad the soup turned out good.

We added every bean in the house, chicken broth, ham bones, diced ham carrots, celery, onion, fresh garlic and any left over vegetable . I pureed some of the beans in order to thicken the soup...made cornbread to go with it. We had grapes too. it was really good.
