Recipe of the day on yesterday's Times. I'm using cut-up breasts in addition to thighs. Green beans and brown rice on the side.

I’m at the Japanese restaurant picking it up.

We’re going to a preview of an Off-Broadway dance production by Tony winners Susan Stroman, John Kander and David Thompson. It’s called “The Beast In The Jungle.” I think I smell something special.

No cooking tonight! Eat well.

Non-GMO non-brominated flour, with some garlic and parm.
Homemade quick and minimalist sauce.
Local mozzarella cheese.
Toppings will range from classic to the veggie lovers variety.

My pie was delicious. If you like sweets. Crunch candy like top, smooth creamy custard with an oatmeal cookie crust. Apparently named crack pie because it is so addictive.

On edit: Ugh, too sweet. The filling was pure sugar intensity. It was kind of like a pecan pie filling without the pecans.

Creamy Tomato Basil soup and a crusty loaf at Central Market. So good. Half the soup left for lunch tomorrow.
