We're going out to an Irish pub for dinner tonight, so I'll probably just have bar food, like nachos.

(22,037 posts)We're going to chow down quickly because we're going to an orchestra concert at the Juilliard School to celebrate the 80th birthday of the great American composer John Corigliano. He was awarded the Oscar for his score for the film THE RED VIOLIN and his suite from that score is the featured piece tonight.
If you're going Irish tonight, NJCher, try the pot roast!

Leftover Italian Sausage in the sandwich.
Some salad next - not sure what's good in there
Fruit - the Lemon Plum was good and sweet. I'll have another.

(58,785 posts)and in middle age with about as wide a range of dining experience. So it's smoky paprika chili and garlic toast because they're on my short list of what he actually likes (not that I'd ever tell him there was paprika in it in case his family never uses it). Knowing he'd always prefer no veggies, I didn't serve any at all this first night. Dessert's Klondike bars right now as they pour happily over the map deciding where to fish tomorrow.

(2,302 posts)Daughter #1's last night with us. I sauteed mahi mahi with Smitten Kitchen's Sticky Sesame Wings' sauce, and made a double batch to use with the side veggies (snow peas, varicolored carrots and onions. Perfect! Then, homemade lemon sherbet.
Tonight (with Gluten-Free girl gone) pizza!
