What's for Dinner, Sat., Feb. 10, 2018

We're feeling lazy tonight, so we're thinking of going to Trader Joe's and buying a couple pizzas. They have several we really like, but the one I like most is mushroom/caramelized onion.

If we do this, however, I will make a green tossed salad with raw vegetables to go with it.

Dessert might also be something we choose from TJs, like some kind of cookie to go with rice pudding.

p.s. update: The RG decided to buy pizza from Whole Foods instead. They make it right in front of the customer, and he loves to tell them how to make the pizza. Because of his interesting instructions, he always gets a small crowd watching him, which he won't admit he likes but I think he does, LOL.

I really wanted to make shepherd's pie, but (a) no lamb in the freezer and (b) no ROOM in the freezer for the portioned out lamb leg. I need to eat my way out before I buy anything else.

So, I had some chuck roast and used that. With all the usual suspects: spuds, carrots, mushrooms, pearl onions, etc.

And a baguette - for dunkin'!

Portabello mushrooms, bacon and bleu cheese.
We are celebrating valentines today, since I will be in Korea next week for work.

And made it in my Instant Pot, which I love! The yogurt for the raita I made in the Instant Pot too.

to make a warm "everything soup" My grandpa used to do this when I was a kid. Basically just leftovers from the fridge into a pot with your seasonings!

Mine has onion, zucchini, bell pepper, carrots, red potatoes and a small leftover leek. Used veggie stock added some rice and tomato paste.

Have a small amount of sourdough bread leftover to go with it.
