What's for Dinner, Thurs., Jan 11, 2018

Fish soup. It has clams and cod in it, and I see some croutons ready to go on the top. Looks like lots of herbs; a nice golden stock, prol'ly due to lots of olive oil.

Fresh peas, rutabaga, and carrots.

Cherry tomato salad with basil; olive oil and balsamic. These tomatoes are the tastiest winter tomato I've ever had. So good. They're grown in some greenhouse in upstate NY.

Well, I cleaned out the fry daddy and replaced the oil. Sooo - let's use it!

Candied carrots, probably mashed spuds too. I bought some collard greens, but they'll have to wait until I pick up a smoked ham hock.

cooked in the crockpot, and coleslaw. I don't like creamy, mayo based coleslaw dressing - I always make a simple vinaigrette.
