What's for Dinner, Fri., Dec. 15, 2017

I don't know what you'd call this concoction of the RG's. It's sort of like a meatloaf stuffed with sausage. He invents his own dishes. It's going to have mustard-cream sauce over it.

Potatoes cooked with garlic.

Salad is mango-apple over chopped romaine. Olive oil-lime for the dressing.

With sauerkraut and baked beans. Klondike Bars for dessert.

I'm too tired for much else!

The meat is from the little store with a butcher.
Burgers will have sharp cheddar cheese, a trip through the garden and be served on a potato bun.
French fries from frozen in the oven.
Fresh baked sweet potato pie from frozen.

We're being lazy tonight.

He has a code id his dose. Me, I'm having a bagel and lox (gravadlax from Aldi).
Oh my! They had King Crab at Aldi today, 1 lb. package for $16.99. That can be my SECOND birthday dinner (going out on the actual day).

head for Aldi.

Sigh. We once lived about 4 blocks from a Trader Joe's. I knew that'd be among my biggest 3-finger regrets on moving from city to country.

my husband caught yesterday with potato salad I just picked up at a deli in town. It's very creamy and garlicky, like I never make it, but good. Picked up a big bunch of bok choy at a really good price and gotta start eating it, so I just decided while typing that I'll saute the leafy tops with something or other and serve the fish on top of them.
