What's for Dinner, Fri., Nov. 10. 2017

Appetizer: Gorgonzola with TJ's multi-grain flatbreads.

Pasta with ground pork. The pasta is that curlique cut. I like it 'cuz it holds on to the sauce.

Pork chops and vegetables (carrots, potato, onion, sauteed).

Dessert: a few squares of chocolate.

And since it's so cold here tonight, plunging down into the 20s, I'm going to be sipping hot apple cider with pomegranate tonight.

We live in the South now so my own are the only "strange" round drop dumplings we ever get here, instead of the "real" flat rolled southern ones. Sometimes I make matzo ball dumplings in honor of my mother in law, who taught me to make them.

NJCher, my husband's out of down, so it was Chinese takeout in an easy chair with Downton Abbey reruns I can't inflict on him.

Made a fish stock this morning. After the risotto is ready, I'll fold in shrimp and squid, artichoke hearts and seared mushrooms.
