Related: About this forumBought an 1801 Revere Ware 10" skillet (very good condition)
yesterday for only $1.80.
I even have a lid at home that fits it.
Now I have 12", 10" and 7" skillets, all Revere Ware.
I would choose vintage Revere Ware over anything new offered in 8-piece sets going for over $300 in Bed & Bath.

(3,276 posts)set from about 1955. I still use it. I think my most-used piece is the soup pot - I do lots of homemade soups in the winter.
Congrats on finding that bargain!

(1,706 posts)My son needs some pans for his college apartment. I told him I'd rather buy vintage Revere Ware than new stuff, because it would last. Most of mine was my grandparents', probably from the 50s.

(426 posts)......It's the only stainless steel, copper-clad bottom cookware I use. Well, other than vintage cast iron skillets, which are becoming harder to lift as I get older. The new stuff is made-in-China crap. You can feel the difference in the quality of the steel.
One of the best vintage Revere Ware I have is a three pot steamer-double boiler, with lid. I use it for so many things. I can cook pasta in the bottom and vegetables in the steamer. I got it used, in nearly perfect condition, for about $12 bucks....including shipping & handling!
I bought a set of Revere Ware at an after Christmas sale when I was first married, over 40 years ago. The marriage didn't last out the year, but I still have the Revere Ware set!

Alas, I was far too young to appreciate the quality of the product they made.
