He's one of my fave guys, interesting and informative, and often the only thing on the tv worth my time.

Bourdain is introducing us to cultures and people around the world and helping us appreciate them. The show on the Philippines at Christmas had me in tears. This season seems to be one giant fuck you to trumpism, with features on immigrants in LA, on the importance of science through his show on the Antarctic and last week's about the tolerant Muslim culture in Oman. He is great.

I heard him interviewed on NPR and found him quite fascinating. He has a keen eye for other cultures. After listening to him, I thought that this guy is exactly cut out for this kind of work.

One really has to admire somebody who can take his interests and match them to an endeavor that enlightens everyone. Plus make a living doing it!

The interview tells how he developed the program. I looked it up, in case anyone else wants to listen. It is the one that mentions how he cooks for his daughter.
