Appetizer: focaccia stuffed with sweet and hot pepper sauce, straciatella, raw, bruised baby ramps, and prosciutto de parma.
Salad has raw red onion, shrimp, apple, coriander, sliced
habanero, and some vegetable that looks like a fresh pea
but nobody knows what it is. Marinade is olive oil and
vinegar.
Ravioli stuffed with ricotta; sauce is cream sauce butter parmigiana and soy milk. Also nutmeg.
Hominy cooked in butter, garlic cilantro diced onion and yellow pepper and splash of grappa.
Thinly sliced beef with hot pepper tigers milk (soy, olive oil, sesame, habanero, and black pepper mixed with Japanese togarashi and sour orange).
Dessert and wines are unknown, as they are being brought by our guest.
All this is original, thought up by the RG. On meals like this, I just do the clean up.

Busy day today, trash and recycling pickup, mowing, wait at the doctor's office, etc. We were thinking about dinner just a few minutes ago and decided that bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches with a side of potato salad would hit the spot for a quick meal.
I like some thin slices of cucumber in mine.

(16,334 posts)I had a bologna sandwich. It just got later and later and we didn't feel like cooking. Spouse ate some leftovers and I made myself a sandwich.

I'm still trying to perfect the clamcakes. I think the recipe I use is correct (they are all pretty much the same), but now I'm suspecting the deep frying oil. What I wouldn't give for a small lot of Fry-max. Too bad they sell them in 35 lb lots for the restaurants, which would be impractical for me. Ugh.
