Meatloaf with tomato sauce. Also thick, hardwood smoked bacon to go on with it, which was fried until crispy.
The salad was baby arugula with Asian pear and parmesan. It also had bacon bits in it and also yellow pear tomatoes (the little ones).
For dessert, a couple spoons each of Haagen Daz--one was vanilla Swiss almond and the other was tangerine-shortbread flavor.

with all the usual suspects: carrots, potatoes, turnips, onion. I layed the roast on a bed of garlic cloves just for fun.

asparagus with a squeeze of lemon, and garlic bread. Don't usually do dessert, even on the weekend, but I did find some Cadbury caramel eggs ....
