I'm going to make lamb soup. It's been snowing off and on all day here, so soup sounds good. The RG made up the stock for me from a lamb meal we had a day or two ago, so I'll be using that. As far as what else, I do have some lamb left, and I'll consult The Flavor Bible for what else goes with lamb.
If I have any energy left after that, I might make some type of apple dessert using agave and other low-glycemic level ingredients. I have an apple cookbook, so will check that out for some ideas.

(2,016 posts)It's a cut I don't see that often, so I figured what the heck. Low and slow in the oven, with a dry rub. Mashed spuds, corn on the cob, and a broccoli salad w/ blue cheese dressing.

(3,040 posts)I never know what's going to be in it, but it's usually good. And, if it's not, it was going to be thrown away anyway.

(37,549 posts)When I have enough, I throw it all into the crockpot and make a stew--a base for other recipes, plus just a good plain breakfast or snack.
Else You Are Mad
(3,040 posts)I hate to waste food. I do the same thing every few months when one of my freezers gets full.

(3,040 posts)Pepper jack and bacon grilled cheese made with roasted garlic butter with a pickapeppa (a sweet Jamaican steak sauce -- think A1 but 100 times better) dipping sauce with frozen Arby's curly fries. I found the Arby's curly fries in my local shop rite and bought them because Arby's fries are the best, and they are about 95% as good as the fries from Arby's.

What really made it spectacular was the stock the RG made for it. It was such a deep, rich stock.
I messed up on one thing, though. I thought I could make coriander powder in the blender and I couldn't. Not only did the blender chew up the gasket, it left me with broken coriander seeds and no powder.
