What's for Dinner, Mon., Oct. 31, 2016

Since it's Halloween, my girlfriend and I are getting together. We're ordering Chinese. We always order lo mein noodles, Gen'l Tso's, beef and broccoli, and this special they have with "dragon" in the name.

We'll dine at her house. She has the prettiest sun room--but more than that, the place looks like a scene from Harry Potter. My friend is an interior designer, home stager, and she restores and paints old furniture. It's the perfect place for Halloween!

tomato salad. We never get trick or treaters here in the woods, but we put two jack o' lanterns down on the road every year.

That's Spanish for "leftovers".

I've got a leftover chicken breast, leftover pinto beans, about a 1/2 pint of pico de gallo. I've got a couple of serrano chiles, a half an onion, and other minor things scattered in the fridge. However, my spice cabinet is always full (by design).

So, I'll make Mexican rice, and make mini burritos. (I think I have 3 or 4 flour tortillas left, too.)

(a) This should clean out all the leftover (and "elderly&quot items, and
(b) Make ready for Wednesday's new grocery sales!
